Sunday, August 21, 2005 ::: Takeover move? I've been doing a few search's on the internet on this Kia guy and his Media sports international (MSI) company. There seems rumours of financial links with Abramovich and therefore Chelsea.
An article back in march on a Man Utd site is interesting reading. The other club MSI financially backs (Corithians of Brazil), have spent huge sums in signing players recently. Why?
What do MSI and Kia have to gain by taking over West ham? Lets hope it's a genuine investment to take the club forward.
Wednesday, August 17, 2005 ::: Update The season has now started, with a 3-1 opening day win over Blackburn, providing optomism for the rest of the season. Today WHU have announced a season long loan of David Bellion from Man Utd. The Evening standard (lite edition) states that the potential bidder for the club Kia Joorabchian is willing to invest £200m in the club (£100m of that on new players).
Friday, June 24, 2005 ::: Slow in transfer market Still only one transfer so far this summer (Roy Carroll). Links with plenty of other players (Helguson, Konchesky, Boothroyd, Shorey). Apart from this we have been ensuring new deals for existing players (Repka, Dailly, Sheringham (with an extended deal for Mark Noble announced recently)).
Thursday, January 06, 2005 ::: Past Players There are a few reports that Spurs are after Glen Johnson, and Possibly Joe Cole as well. From What I can remember - this should result in a windfall to WHU, as both of these had a 25% sell-on Clause. Lets hope we use the money on new players...
Friday, October 29, 2004 ::: Forever blowing bubble's
I thought it was a very creditable performance on Wednesday night again an expensive Chelsea Lineup. Before the game I was half expecting a 4 or 5 Nil Loss, but with a Hard working team, poor finishing and Great Saves by Walker, we only lost by the one goal.
I now hope that we can continue with this sought of attitude in the league and continue to try and grab one of those top two spots.
